This hotel is in the very final stages of a complete refresh, so it felt like a brand new hotel! They are still working on it but at this moment it is probably 95% complete. I say they are working on it because the big dumpster and storage containers are still there, but inside there was no evidence of a remodel. Our room and floor were already 100% complete, as was the lobby and breakfast area. I paid about 1/3 less than other hotels I looked at, and my expectation was that it was going to be in disrepair, with the classic signs of an older hotel: peeling wallpaper, fixtures loose in the bathroom, scratches & dents on the furniture, etc. These are things that happen with use but don't really affect the hotel experience as much (my priorities are quiet, dark, and a comfortable bed, and it met all of these with 5 stars). So I came in with low expectations because of the lower price, and left doubly surprised and pleased. Indeed, I can only expect that once this refresh is complete and the dust is cleared away, the price will probably climb up to par with the other hotels in its class in this area. I got lucky... a GREAT place to stay at a much lower price than I expected.

I went in with zero expectations, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how beautifully maintained this property is. It seems like it had just been rehabbed. Freshly painted, very modern looking interiors, very tastefully done up guest rooms (portraits and colors matching each other really well, brand new furniture, very modern bathroom, again spotlessly clean, gorgeous led lit mirror, mini fridge and a microwave! In the room). The entire hotel was spotless clean and beautifully maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and inviting with large, broad smiles, welcoming you every time you walked into the door. The check in process was flawless and quick. The free breakfast they offered was pretty good and the breakfast seating area was really spacious and bright and sunny. I would stay here over and over.

The location was easy to access and was close to our relatives' home. The breakfast was good, comparable to most motel continental breakfasts. The manager was excellent, very friendly, was clearly visible around the building when he wasn't working the desk. I think this was reflected in the other staff. The maid who asked if we wanted our room serviced was also very friendly. We were in town for a wedding so we didn't spend a lot of time at the motel but the staff is what set this location apart for me.

We asked if we could upgrade to a larger unit because of space and they did it for free- on a Saturday night. Rooms were great. Clean. The rooms were modern, the bathroom was pretty. The shower had pretty wall tile and penny tile for floor. It was so reasonably priced. I would have been satisfied if we paid double. The one bedroom was amazing.

The location was convenient for a traveler coming off a long highway trip. It was relatively easy to find, and close to cafes/places where I could quickly find coffee and gas. This was particularly helpful given the limited breakfast hours. I appreciated the cleanliness of the bedroom and bathroom, the ample amount of towels and soaps, and the comfortable bed.
